Yesterday was Tree Planting Day。 The teachers asked us to plant trees at the corner of our playground。 At 3:00 in the afternoon, we got there。 Our teacher showed us how to plant trees, then we started to do it。 Some dug the pits, some put trees in them and others watered them。 We planted a lot of trees。 When we finished our work, it was nearly dark。

I have never been late for school, but yesterday I came very close. First of all I got overslept, then I took a quick shower and had a quick breakfast.
I had to really rush. But when I got to school, I realized I had left my backpack at home. Then I ran home to get my backpack.
But when I got home, I realized that I had left my key in the backpack. So I ran back to school.
When I got to school, the final bell was ringing. What a bad day!
the moon festival or mid –autumn festival is one of the three major traditional festivals celebrated by chinese people. like harvest time in other countries, the mid-autumn festival actually began as a thanksgiving celebration, honoring the soil god and the crop god. this is also a time for family reunions. chinese people enjoy moon cakes during this feast just as they eat rice dumplings for the dragon boat festival. it is quite appropriate to bring moon cakes with you in token of festival greetings when calling on people during this season.

Dear Sun Yong-kang:
Your letter eventually followed me to my new address (above). I’m afraid I can’t be of much specific help to you. I am, however, sending you a directory of physics programs in the U.S. On pp. 178 – 180 are programs leading to a Master’s or Ph.D. My suggestion is to look over the program descriptions and then to write directly to the addresses given if any look appropriate. Stress that you need financial aid.
I wouldn’t worry too much about your English. Your academic background seems strong.
Good Luck,
Harvey Nadler
My sister belongs to a folk dancing club in college. They meet twice a week at night. Their club has about thirty members from varying classes and departments. All the members love to dance because it is good exercise and fun. Also by studying folk dance they get to know each belong to this club, and they study together, too. My sister seems quite happy with her life in college, but she always says that college education is much more than folk dancing or going on a picnic; there are lots of serious things to learn.
The other day my brother and I went to the cinema by bicycle。 My brother was riding with me sitting on the seat behind。 As we came to the crossroads a young man and a girl came up and stopped us。 ‘We‘ve found you at long last,’ they said。 But we didn’t know them。 Pointing to a policeman not far away, the young man explained, ‘He stopped us about half an hour ago and made us catch the next offender。 So come on, stand here。 Hope you don‘t have to wait as long as we did 。 Good luck。’
